YOGA FOR EVERYONE
Gentle yoga classes are for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. Our classes attempt to meet yoga students “where they are.” An effective Gentle Yoga class provides a compassionate, non-competitive environment that is welcoming to all.
Gentle Mat Yoga is a traditional yoga class with special consideration to postures that ease joint pain and focus on the restorative and adaptive nature of yoga. Gentle, low-impact poses also provide movement and build strength for those with arthritis or joint mobility issues.
Chair Yoga offers many of the same benefits as the more traditional forms of yoga: greater flexibility, more supple muscle tone, improved breathing and a more focused mind. Some postures are done standing with the chair nearby for support. In addition to a good stretch, chair yoga provides participants with improved muscle tone, better breathing habits, stress reduction, and a sense of well-being.
A sore lower back, stiff neck, tight hips and shoulders from sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours? The solution? Office Yoga! Practicing specific yoga poses during a lunchtime yoga break will minimize discomfort throughout the day. Simple stress reduction moves and short relaxation techniques can make it easier to focus and enjoy your work.
Starting where you are, and based on your goals, we develop a Personal Training exercise program incorporating weights, yoga stretches, and body weight movements, to increase flexibility, balance, and strength.
